SECTIONALIZED MULTIPLE FOCAL-POINT CONTACT LENS AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE: To provide appropriate depth recognition by a non-directional multi- focus refractive lens consisting of at least two regions with different optical magnifications in order to effectively converge light on the retina of eye and to provide near sight and long sight power. CONSTITUTION: This lens is provided with radially and symmetry lens (the lens having concentric near sight and long sight lens parts) and is different from the lens where the necessity of stabilization is removed so that a normal position is unnecessitated since constitution is executed by radial regions. The regions permits the equal area of near and long focus distance as against the area in the concentric area of the lens to be kept independent from the size of a circle like the pupil of the eye which is enlarged and reduced by incident light quantity to the eye. Thus, a rate between the long sight and near sight parts of the lens becomes a function which is set in the respective radiuses or becomes the one where the size of the pupiles are controlled. Non-spherical surfaces are used by the near sight or the long sight part or the both parts so that design having uniform equal lens jointing and edge thickness is enabled.
