PURPOSE:To shorten a rising time, to save electric power and to suppress the rush of a current even when a low-wat heater is used. CONSTITUTION:By supplying feeble electric power to the heater 6 of a fixing roller 7 through a first solid state relay SSR15 and a second solid state relay SSR210 which is connected in parallel even under a state.that an AC power source switch 1 is turned off, a triac constituting the second relay SSR210 is actuated so that the surface temperature of the roller 7 becomes the lower temperature (about 40 deg.-5O deg.C) than the ordinary temperature (about 180 deg.C) of a fixing time. Then, when the switch 1 is turned on, a triac constituting the first relay SSR15 is actuated so that the ordinary temperature of the fixing time is attained. As the result, even when the low-wat heater is used, the temperature quickly rises to the ordinary fixing temperature and a fixing action can be executed at the same time that the switch 1 is turned on. Besides, the rush current can be suppressed. |
