PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of the frequency offset for a phase detection circuit which receives the burst signal undergone the N-phase PSK modulation to acquire the demodulated output and at the same time to attain a compact and IC structure for the phase detection circuit together with reduction of the power consumption. CONSTITUTION:A phase detection circuit 2 is provided to detect a phase to the local oscillation output of an input carrier signal together with a phase difference circuit 4 which outputs a phase difference DELTAtheta secured between the output of the circuit 2 and the output that is delayed by the length of one symbol by a delay circuit 3, an adder 6 which tentatively decides a standard phase difference most approximate to the difference DELTAtheta and subtracts the decided phase difference from the difference DELTAtheta to output a phase difference error, and a deciding circuit 10 which averages the output of the adder 6 to store it in a register 8 and defines the standard phase difference most approximate to the estimated value obtd. by subtracting the average output value from the difference DELTAtheta as the decided demodulation output. |
