PURPOSE:To provide a heat-resistant insulated wire whose terminal insulating film can be peeled in a short time and which has excellent heat-resistance by using a first insulator layer and a second insulator layer in combination with each other, and at the same time specifying the film thickness of the first insulator layer. CONSTITUTION:A heat-resistant insulated wire comprises laminating a first insulator layer which is made of a polyether imide resin expressed in a given chemical formula on a conductor and further laminating a second insulator layer which is made of a material selected from a group consisting of a polyester resin, a polyamide imide resin and a polyimide resin on the outer side of the first insulator layer. And the first insulator layer is formed in a film thickness of not more than one third of the total film thickness of all these insulator layers. In the chemical formula, n expresses a positive integer. The work of peeling the terminal film off the wire and the subsequent wire connecting operations can thus be done in a short time without lowering the heat resistance of the wire.
