PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and to enhance the reliability of a controller for semiconductor driving element being employed in power facility. CONSTITUTION:The controller comprises a control section 5 producing a command for operating semiconductor driving elements 2, 3, and a driving section 6 for delivering trigger signals to the driving elements 2, 3 in response to the command signal. The driving section 6 is provided with photoelectric converters 33, 35 for delivering a voltage having the same polarity as the trigger signal to the driving elements 2, 3 upon receiving an optical signal. The control section 5 is provided with an optical signal generating circuit for generating a command signal in the form of an optical signal wherein the optical signal generating circuit is connected through optical fibers 37, 39 with the photoelectric converters 33, 35. |
