PURPOSE: To substantially decrease pressure fog in a photographic element by forming a pressure absorbing layer. CONSTITUTION: This photographic sensitive element is composed of a supporting body, at least one photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer, a nonphotosensitive overcoat layer and at least one nonphotosensitive pressure absorbing layer between the emulsion layer and the overcoat layer. The pressure absorbing layer of the element is composed of a polymer and a hydrophilic colloid by 1:1 or more weight ratio, and the polymer has <5 deg.C glass transition temp.
