<p>PURPOSE:To monitor accurately an information peak flow rate in steady-state independently of a phase of a monitor time frame. CONSTITUTION:A clock counter 1 measures a time interval between an arrival point of time of an information block at each arrival and an arrival point of time of a just preceding information block and stores the result sequentially to a memory 2. A counter 6 uses a preceding arrival time interval stored in the memory 2 and the measured time interval to calculate from the arrival point of time of (X0+1) pieces preceding information block till the arrival point of time of the newest information block by an adder 7 and a subtractor 8, a comparator 10 compares the calculated value with a flow rate measurement time frame stored in a counter 9, and when the former is smaller, an excess traffic is detected and informed.</p> |
