PURPOSE:To always impart the charges of a proper quantity, for a transfer, to a transfer material carrier, without unevenness by controlling the potential of the transfer material carrier and a current flowing in the direction of the transfer material carrier. CONSTITUTION:A transfer drum is concentrically arranged at a prescribed interval, and composed of a pair of cylindrical ring members 31a, 31b rotatively and pivotally supported by a fixed shaft 203 via bearings 201a, 201b, respectively, a rotating means for rotating these rings 31a, 31b at equal speed, and a transfer sheet as a sheet-like high-resistance film cylindrically wound between a pair of the ring members 31a, 31b over all around their peripheries. On the other hand, a grid on which plural wires are stretched in parallel, is provided in front of the electrifier for the transfer, arranged in a transfer region, and a voltage is applied on the grid to converge the potential of the transfer sheet or control a current flowing in the transfer sheet. |
