The foot (3,4) is suspended by at least one connecting component (13) in at least one accommodation opening (15) in the column (7). The connecting component is a hook, which extends over one side (14) of the foot (3,4) and pref. has an upright standing plate part (10) which in side view has the shape of a right-angle triangle, with a connecting part (11) for connection with a base plate (18) of the column (7). The connecting part (11) is a plate, which extends over the plate part (10) with the underside of which it pref. lies in a plane. The base plate (18) of the column (7) in plan view has a rectangular outline and an all-round downwardly extending edge (19), which surrounds the connecting part (11) of the foot, and pref. the base plate (18) on its edge has a through aperture (29) for the plate part (10). USE/ADVANTAGE - A table or bench frame in which the foot can without difficulty be fixed laterally on the support column.
