PURPOSE:To divide a time-series input signal into a plurality of stages and control them independently of each other. CONSTITUTION:A time-series input signal is taken into signal shifting means 4A, 4B in succession and selectively by input selecting means 24, 24. Hereupon, based on the data taken thereinto, respective means 20A, 20B for determining pulse widths determine their pulse widths according to the magnitudes of the input signals to be included in one horizontal scanning term respectively. Then, output means 16A, 16B so operate respectively as to drive optical elements 18A, 18B only during the terms corresponding to the pulse widths determined by the means 20A, 20B. |
