This bending press (2) comprises stops (10) for positioning the metal sheet (11), these stops being located on the side where the bed (5) is, the table (3) being such that engagement of the metal sheet (11) can take place from the side of the press (2) opposite that where the bed (5) is. A pivoting flap (21) prevents access by the operator to the metal-sheet holder (4) when the machine is operating. A closed casing (25) encloses the bed (5).
