PURPOSE:To provide a zoom lens device for easily assembling a zoom lens by forming an opening part on which supporting bars supporting plural lens frame bodies and a side cam barrel arranged on the sides of plural lens frame bodies can be arranged from a direction perpendicular to an optical axis, on the side of a lens-barrel main body. CONSTITUTION:First, the supporting bars 32, 34, and 36 supporting plural lens frame bodies 26, 28, and 30, are inserted along the direction perpendicular to the optical axis via the opening part 76 formed on the side of the lens-barrel main body 66, and arranged in prescribed locations inside the lens-barrel main body 66. Next, the side cam barrel 58 is inserted along the direction perpendicular to the optical axis, via the opening part 76, and arranged inside the lens- barrel main body 66. Then, respective cam pins 52, 54, and 56 formed on the lens frame bodies 26, 28, and 30 are fitted in respective cam grooves 60, 62, and 64 formed on the side cam barrel 58.
