<p>PURPOSE:To simultaneously treat a plurality of card-shaped recording media, to sharply improve the operating property of the title method and to enhance the productivity of the title method by a method wherein edge parts of the card-shaped recording media are pressed by using a holder and coated with an edge working material. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of optical cards 1 are housed in a holder 3 by aligning their short sides and their long sides in such a way that their recording layers 2 become parallel. Then, when the plurality of optical cards 1 are pressed by using a pressure jig, their edge parts are gathered and wide-width parts 11 are formed. The parts are coated with an edge working material by using, e.g., a roller. After that, when their pressed state is released, it is returned to a state (A). The edge working material is hardened and their edge parts can be shielded from the outside. When the viscosity of the edge working material is low, the material may be coated without using the roller by executing a dipping operation while the upper part and the lower part of the optical cards are reversed.</p> |
