<p>PURPOSE:To provide the high-accuracy coordinate input device to be easily used. CONSTITUTION:When vibrations are applied to a vibration transmitting board 8 by a vibrating pen 3, they are transmitted through the transmitting board 8 and detected by vibration sensors 6a-6d. From the delay time of the detected vibrations, a distance from the positions of the respective sensors 6a-6d to that of the vibrating pen 3 is calculated and from that calculated distance, the coordinate values of the vibrating pen 3 on the vibration transmitting board 8 as a coordinate input plane are calculated independently for X and Y axes. From these coordinate values and the distance as the base of the calculation, it is judged whether error is contained in this distance or not. When error is contained, the distance is corrected by a prescribed correcting amount, and new coordinate values are newly calculated from the corrected distance. When it is judged that not error is contained, the coordinate is outputted.</p> |
