PURPOSE: To provide a means to align contact leads of an electric connector. CONSTITUTION: An aligning strip 20 comprises a pair of sheets 21, 22 so mounted as to slide and respective sheets regulate apertures, for example 23, 24, of an array and having wide parts and narrow parts. Of these sheets, wide parts of the corresponding apertures of two arrays are at first overlapped and put at positions at which leads can be easily inserted. Then, shifting is carried out as to conform narrow parts of corresponding apertures to each other and hold leads at their proper positions. |
