<p>PURPOSE:To separate and remove technetium out of nitric acid solution containing plutonium of III valences and the technetium in the solvent extracting method using TBP. CONSTITUTION:The ions of Zr<4+>, Th<4+>, Sc<3+> and the like are added into nitric acid solution of Pu<3+> and Tc after the separation of uranium and plutonium in a reprocessing step. Thus, solvent extraction with TBP is performed. At this time, technetium is extracted with TBP (organic phase) together with the added metal ions. The plutonium remains in the water phase. After this operation, the phases are separated, and the plutonium-nitric acid solution, from which the technetium is removed, is obtained.</p> |
