<p>PURPOSE:To obviate light fatigue of an optical shutter element, and also, to obtain a constant and uniform transmission light quantity in the longitudinal direction of an optical shutter array, in the optical signal generating device. CONSTITUTION:The applied direction of an electric field for working on each optical shutter element is inverted at every printing of one line. Simultaneously, voltages Vh1, Vh2...Vhn applied to each separate electrode 461, 462...46n from a correction data generating circuit 61 are corrected to a value for making the transmission light quantity of each optical shutter element constant. In the correction data generating circuit 61, data for correcting a variance of the transmission light quantity of the optical shutter element being different by the applied direction of the electric field is stored in advance.</p> |
