PURPOSE:To reduce optical fibers, fusion-bonding portions between optical fibers, optical parts, light loss, assembling time, and cost. CONSTITUTION:A signal light is introduced into an erbium-doped optical fiber 4 from an input optical fiber 1, via an optical isolator 2. The light from a pumping light source 13 passes optical fibers 14, 15 and is outputted via a lens 29. The outputted light is reflected by a dielectric filter 23, and inputted in an erbium-doped optical fiber 4 via a lens 27. Erbium atom is excited and the signal light is opticaly amplified. Via a lens 27, the amplified light passes a dielectric filter 23 and an optical isolator 26, and is outputted from an output optical fiber 8 via a lens 28. |
