PURPOSE:To provide the electronic musical instrument which suitably generates the variously varying musical tone of a rhythm musical instrument by using the playing operation elements other than a keyboard and provides diverse performances like the rhythm musical instrument and is good in operability. CONSTITUTION:This electronic musical instrument has an operation means capable of 2 continuous operation which has specific operation length in a specific operation direction, detects the approach, contacting, and depression of an operation body, and generates plural detection signals within the operation length, a time interval means 7 which receives the detection signals from the operation means 2 and generates a time interval signal corresponding to the time difference between the successive detection signals, and a musical sound signal generating means 8 which generates a musical tone signal according to the detection signal and time interval signal each time the operation means 2 generates the detection signal. |
