<p>PURPOSE:To keep the appropriate electric characteristics and charge characteristics of a carrier for a long period by using a specific resin as a coating resin to form a coating layer excellent in adhesive strength to a carrier core material. CONSTITUTION:Chlorotrifluoroethylene-vinyl ether copolymer or chlorotriflyoroethylene-vinylacetate copolymer is used as the coating resin for the carrier. The polymer contains at least chlorotrifluoroethylene as a monomer and is obtained by using one or more kind of ethylene, vinylether or vinylacetate and fluorinated ethylene, vinylether or vinylacetate and is expressed by a formula. In the formula, (m) and (n) satisfy a condition, (n)/2<=(m)<=4(n), R is alkyl group or fluorinated alkyl group. As a result, the sticking of the toner to the surface of the carrier is prevented and the abrasion of the coating resin layer due to the impulse force caused by mixing and stirring is also prevented.</p> |
