The transmission procedure uses the power distribution network (7) for data transmission between a source station and a number of subscriber stations, using modulation of a carrier frequency. All the subscriber stations coupled to the network (7) use the same transmission carrier frequency, the transmitting stations assigned a credit value which is updated simultaneous with the data transmission. The carrier signals are accurately synchronised, to prevent loss of information upon summation of the transmission signals, via a phase correction circuit (R) for the carrier signal generator (1). ADVANTAGE - Reduced complexity and overall cost.
