The x-ray device contains an x-ray source with an x-ray tube (4) in a tube protection housing (5), a high voltage source (1) in a special housing (2), at least one high voltage cable (6,7) in the high voltage circuit between the voltage and x-ray sources, a heat converter (8) connected to the x-ray source's cathode and a damping arrangement in the high voltage circuit. The damping arrangement is contained in the high voltage cable or cables and the heat converter is arranged in the tube protection housing. A high voltage measurement divider (9-12) for measuring the voltage on the x-ray tube is arranged in the tube protection housing. USE/ADVANTAGE - The arrangement is improved by accommodating the damping arrangement within the cables and the heat converter in the protection housing.
