PURPOSE:To obtain a superconducting metal oxide material having electron conductivity by molding powder of at least one selected from Nd, Pr and Sm, Ce and Cu oxide and calcining the molded article in a nonoxidizing atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:Powder of at least one element selected from Nd, Pr and Sm, Ce and Cu oxide is molded and calcined in a nonoxidizing atmosphere at 800-1, 500 deg.C. When the feed composition of the superconducting metal oxide material during production is shown by the formula (Ln1-xCex)2CuO4 (Ln is Nd, Pr or Sm), x is preferably 0.1<=x<=0.4. |
