PURPOSE:To obtain a stable residual current by reducing the irregularity in sampling, by using a solution communication type coulometric analysis electrolytic cell and combining a loop flowline for sampling with the detection electrode solution flowline in the electrolytic cell. CONSTITUTION:The detection electrode solution in a solution communication type coulometric analysis electrolytic cell 1 is passed through a detection electrode side liquid flowline 5 and a pump 2 from a detection electrode solution tank 7 to be recirculated to the electrolytic cell 1 through a loop flowline 4 by a valve 10. A substance to be measured is flowed through a specimen flowline 3 but, by changing over a valve 9 for a predetermined time at the time of sampling and returning the same as before, a definite amount of the specimen is introduced into the loop flowline 4. Subsequently, by changing over the valve 10 of the loop flowline 4, the detection electrode solution recirculated through the flowline 5 is flowed to the loop flowline 4 and the substance to be measured introduced at the time of sampling is recirculated while mixed with the detection electrode solution and detected and quantitatively analyzed by the detection electrode of the electrolytic cell 1 according to an electrolytic method. |
