Metal coating of titanium@ (alloys) - by oxidising in acidic, fluorine-free soln., removing oxide layer, treating with ultrasound, and galvanically coating
摘要
A process is claimed to coat Ti and Ti-alloys with base and/or precious metal by galvanic deposition. The novelty is that the material surface to be galvanised is oxidised, after degreasing, in acidic and F-free soln. having an acid concn. of 10-80 vol.% and at less than 150 V, the oxide layer is removed in acidic and F-free soln. by cathodic activation at 2-20 A/dm2, the material surface is treated with ultrasound and galvanically coated with the metal. ADVANTAGE - The surface of the Ti and Ti-alloys is not roughened during the process and no additional Ni intermediate layer need the applied
