An electric motor ventilation structure having an interior fan (52) with a dual concentric set of radially disposed blades (90, 100) located within an endshield (14) of said motor (10) in close proximity to the end of the rotor and stator assemblies (48,38) within said endshield (14) and to the peripheral surfaces of said stator assembly (38) within said endshield (14). The disposition of said blades (90,100) is such as to break the hot air boundary layer adjacent to each of the stator windings (40) and cause the movement of heated air through axial and radial endshield apertures (19) to the external environment and replenishment with cooler air from that environment during motor operation.
