Bus oriented local communications network - has voltage source within each optical star distributor for standard peripherals and optical transmission-reception devices

The communications network uses optical star distributors coupled to a number of data peripherals via an electrical standard interface (SST), with further data peripherals coupled to it via optical transmission/reception devices (SEE1...SEE6) and optical conductors the distributor has a voltage source (SV) for ensuring the correct voltage for the standard interface (SST) and each transmission/reception device (SEE1...SEE6), together with the data transmission, data reception and data collision condition evaluation and signalling devices (KEE,KGE,IG,EE,EE1,DE). Pref. further optical couplings are used to connect several optical distributors to one another.
