PURPOSE: To separate a sample easily with high accuracy through a liquid chromatograph system by calculating the holding characteristics, the separation characteristics and a resultant chromatogram based on a plurality' of optimization parameters and displaying them visually. CONSTITUTION: A predetermined quantity of sample is injected into a solvent flow being fed from a solvent supply system 1 by operating a sample injection means 2. The sample is then transported to a separation column 3 and separated into various components which elutes from the column 3 at different times. A detector 4 connected with the outlet of the column 3 generates an output signal indicative of each component contained in the sample. A data processing means 5 derives the holding characteristics of each component of a sample to be measured as a function of optimization parameters and then derives a chromatogram corresponding to a selectable value of the optimization parameters. A display means 6 displays the derived holding characteristics and a chromatogram corresponding to a selected value of the optimization parameters. |
