PURPOSE: To make a dye transfer uniform and to enhance its concentration by using Fe(II) complexes of a specific dye ligand as an infrane absorbing substance of a dye donor element for a laser-induced dye thermal transfer, thereby preventing a deterioration of the transferred dye image. CONSTITUTION: The dye-donor element for a laser-induced thermal dye transfer comprises a support including a dye layer and an infrared absorbing substance different from a dye of the dye layer on a support. In this case, the substance is Fe (II) complexes of a dye ligand represented by a formula. The complex is executed in a concentration of 0.05 to 0.5 g/m in the dye layer or an adjacent layer. In the formula, R is a hydrogen, halogen, cyano, alkoxy, aryloxy, acyloxy, aryloxycarbonyl, alkoxycarbonyl, sulfonyl, carbamoyl, acyl, acylamido, alkylamino, arylamino or a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, aryl or hetaryl group, Z is atoms necessary to complete a 5- to 7-memberd substituted or unsubstituted nitrogen-containing, heterocyclic, aromatic ring or fused ring system, and (n) is 2. |
