An injection molding probe (40) with an elongated outer body (54) has an electrical heating element (76) wound in a helical coil around a central thermocouple tube (78) integrally braze filled in silver in the body (54). A thermocouple bore (74) extends through the tube (78) into the silver (101) adjacent the forward end (58) of the body (54).
