PURPOSE:To obtain the objective composition having excellent moldability and processability, providing molded articles having excellent impact resistance, comprising a polyvinyl acetal-based resin besides an epoxy compound and a curing agent. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprising an epoxy resin composition consisting of (A) an epoxy compound (e.g. bisphenol A type epoxy resin) and (B) a curing agent (e.g. aromatic polyamine, BF3-amine complex) and (C) a polyvinyl acetal-based resin mainly composed of a repeating unit of the formula (R is aryl, aralkyl, etc.; R' is H or 1-10C alkyl; (a) to (d) are % of each structural unit and (a) is 5-85, (b) is 0-80, (c) is 10-50 and (d) is 0-30). The component C is usually obtained by acetalizing PVA with an aldehyde such as benzaldehyde or formaldehyde.
