PURPOSE:To enable recognition of a variety of chemical substances by means of an excitatory artificial membrane by grasping the oscillating phenomenon caused by the chemical substances as the information of the chaos-oscillated attractor in the excitatory artificial membrane, thereby utilizing the information in the recognition of the chemical substances. CONSTITUTION:Chaos oscillation of an excitatory artificial membrane 21 caused by a chemical substance is generated by adding the known chemical substance in the first basin 11 and the second basin 12. The information for reference on the basis of the shape of an attractor of this chaos oscillation can be stored in a memory part of an information processing part 16. By adding an unknown chemical substance in the first basin 11 and the second basin 12, the chaos oscillation of the artificial membrane 21 caused by this chemical substance can be generated, and the information on the basis of the shape of the attractor of this chaos oscillation can be obtained. Further, recognition of this unkown chemical substance can be implemented by collating this information with the information for reference. |
