PURPOSE:To obtain the subject sizing material, useful for sizing warp yarns and responsive to high-speed looms. CONSTITUTION:The objective sizing material for sizing warp yarns is obtained by mixing at least two kinds of starches having different amylogram minimum viscosities (10% concentration expressed in terms of the anhydrous substance and 92.5 deg.C). The minimum viscosity of the starch having the higher one is 100-1000BU and that of the starch having the lower one is <=50BU. Thereby, yarn, having high permeability thereof to the sizing liquid, capable of preventing fluffing, improved in strength and responsive to high-speed looms is obtained. |
