PURPOSE: To purify waste paper by dropping incidental looping into an adjacent section through an opening in a partition wall by a specific member provided at the inside of one section segmented by the partition wall of a drum. CONSTITUTION: The defibrating drum 1 is segmented into two sections 2, 8 by the partition wall 6 and a bar 20 is fitted to a position P on the inside surface of a casing 11 in the non-bored section 2 of the drum. The bar is extended toward the opening 7 in the partition wall and is supported with at least one supporting member 25 against the casing. The bar raises and pushes the incidental looping toward the opening 7, drops the incidental looping into the casing 12 of the section 8 and further drops the incidental looping from a reject opening.
