<p>PURPOSE:To provide a control device for automatic lighting and putting out with which night running to need illumination is judged and lighting of a headlight is controlled, in any running condition of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:This control device is provided with a light detector 11 constituted of a plurality of light detecting elements 111, 112,... arranged flatly so as to divide into the plural in the longitudinal direction and in the transverse direction, and surrounding light images are formed into a image against the light detector 11 through an image-formation lens 12. Consequently, in respective light detecting elements 111, 112,..., brightness of respective image elements in response to the pattern of the formed light image are respectively detected, the night time to need illumination is judged based on the respective brightness of the respective image elements, and hence a lighting command is output.</p> |
