<p>PURPOSE:To restrain the width of strip from fluctuating irrespective of variation of a rolling condition. CONSTITUTION:The deformation resistance of the strip 2 per unit area in the roll bite of each roll stand 1 is calculated and a suitable tension given to the strip 2 per unit area between roll stands is calculated to obtain the suitable tension. The torque current of an electric motor 5 for a looper 3 is calculated, the looper 3 is controlled by looper current, thus, the strip width is restrained by the variation of the rolling condition from fluctuating.</p> |
