PURPOSE:To enable an image receiving layer to be completely transferred by a method wherein scattering in transfer of the image receiving layer owing to ambient conditions such as head temperature or the like is removed in a video printer wherein a printed image is photographically color printed on plain paper by transferring the image receiving layer. CONSTITUTION:A video memory 11 which stores an image data and an exclusive memory 12 which stores a data for transfer when an image receiving layer is transferred, are provided. The data for transfer is varied according to ambient conditions such as head temperature or the like and besides, photographic density of the image receiving layer is made higher compared with photographic density of sublimate dye which performs photographic printing of the printed image. When transfer is started or ended, coiling of the image receiving layer is stopped temporarily. |
