PURPOSE:To form a design-printing layer across the entire area including an area where an optical recording material is located as seen from the front of an optical card. CONSTITUTION:The subject optical information recording medium consists of a card base 1, an optical recording material 3 in which data is recorded or regenerated using an optical means, an optical transmission layer 4 is laminated on the optical recording material 3, and a design printing layer 2 provided between the card base 1 and the optical recording material 3. In addition, the transmission factor of the optical recording material 3 to a visible ray is set beyond a specified value so that light is transmitted through the design printing layer 2. The transmission factor of the optical recording material 3 is set to such a high extent that the light does not affect the recording and regeneration properties adversely. To meet the above conditions, the mentioned transmission factor should be set at 1%, preferably 10% or higher. |
