PURPOSE:To obtain a thermosensible recording material utilizing a coloring reaction between a colorless or slightly colored leuco-dye and a developer that helps the leuco-dye develop color on contact with it by incorporating a specified dithiane compound or a specified lactone compound. CONSTITUTION:In a thermosensible recording material utilizing a coloring reaction between a colorless or slightly colored leuco-dye and a developer that helps the leuco-dye develop color on contact with it, a dithiane compound is contained which is expressed by formulas I-IV, in which R1 and R2 are either the same or different alkyl groups of 1-4C or H; R3 is an alkylene group of 1-4C, or a lactone compound is contained which is expressed by a formula V, in which R1 is an alkyl group of 1-4C optionally having an ether linkage, an aralkyl group optionally having substitutional groups, or H; R2 is selected from an alkyl group of C1-16 optionally having an ether linkage or an ester linkage and an aryl or aralkyl group optionally having substitutional groups. |
