PURPOSE: To obtain a roller bearing to which rollers can be easily assembled by relatively inclining inner and outer bearing rings. CONSTITUTION: Each of pockets 17 of a retainer has facing guide faces 18, 19 cooperating with rollers 16 in the pocket 17 on the central part in the axial direction for centering the retainer 15. The dimension of the pocket 17 in the axial direction is set larger than the dimension of the roller in the same direction. A clearance in the axial direction is formed in between the facing faces 25, 26 on both ends in the axial direction of the pocket when the roller is at the center position and the end face of the roller. A space in between lateral bars extended in the axial direction fixing the boundary of the pocket is set larger than the diameters of corresponding rollers on both ends of the pocket in the axial direction. Thus the roller 16 and the retainer 15 are enabled to move relatively in the radial direction at both ends 20, 21. |
