PURPOSE:To obtain the above molding device which is capable of regulating thickness of a flange part to the prescribed thickness and of smooth keeping the upper face of the flange part smooth. CONSTITUTION:The subject molding device for a vessel is equipped with a female mold 12 having a cavity 14 and a male mold 11 having a plug 13 introduced into the cavity 14. Sheet material 30 is thermoformed between the female mold 12 and the male mold 11 and thereby a vessel main body is molded. A receiving part 25 is provided in the female mold 12. A clamp part 20 is provided in the male mold 11 to form a flange part between the receiving part 25 and the clamp part 20. A recessed escape part for escaping the excess part of the sheet material 30 is formed in the clamp part 20.
