PURPOSE: To provide a medium heating controller used for a dental spray hand piece, which makes it possible to heat in a short time, to facilitate maintenance, and to determine the upper limit temperature. CONSTITUTION: A water medium path 2, an air medium path 3, a housing 4, a PTC resistor 5, a heat exchanger 6, a medium path 7, and heater circuit 8 are arranged in a hand piece 1. The PTC resistor is formed as a heating element and formed into a structural unit along with the heat exchanger 6. The heat exchanger 6 is made of a sintered metal and divided into two. The PTC resistor 5 is provided between these divided parts of the heat exchanger 6. Water and air are flow from one to the other part of the heat exchanger 6. A large heat exchange region is provided in a small space and heats the medium uniformly. The housing 4, the PTC resistor 5, and the heat exchanger 6 as heating elements are detachably arranged so as facilitate the maintenance.
