PURPOSE:To enable the recording and regeneration of information using a semiconductor laser by installing a thermal insulation layer under a recording layer which is installed at least on the one surface of a substrate in a photo- recording medium. CONSTITUTION:In a photo-recording medium equipped with a recording layer 2 at least on one surface of a substrate 1, a thermal insulation layer 3 is installed under the recording layer 2. The thermal insulation layer is composed of a material (e. g. polyvinyl acetate) with a thermal conductivity in a range of 0.1-0.5 W/(m.k). As a result information can be recorded and regenerated using a semiconductor laser. |
