<p>PURPOSE:To improve the manufacturing efficiency at the time of manufacturing the suspension arm of curved shape. CONSTITUTION:When a suspension arm is cut out from an arm stock 2 after extruding the arm stock 2, the suspension arm is cut out by a cut surface curved to the projecting shape or the recessed shape in the extruding direction. At this time, the suspension arm that the intermediate part having a curved shape between connecting parts can be manufactured by extruding the arm stock 2 so that parts to be machined as respective connecting parts 3a-3c to be connected to the body side of car and the wheel side are arranged leaving space in the direction orthogonal to the extruding direction. Because the neutral axis with respect to the bending moment generated when the load is inputted to the connecting part is made so as to be along the curved shape, the suspension arm can be formed by extruding so as to make the section modulus of the intermediate part of the suspension arm larger than that of the connecting part.</p> |
