<p>PURPOSE:To provide a rear-wheel steering apparatus which can be made small in size and reduced in cost. CONSTITUTION:When an eccentric pin 50A of an eccentric cam member 50 is rotated, an operation rod 20 is slid with a lever member 30 whose lever ratio is made changeable by a shaft member 40, by which rear wheels are steered. The angle of rotation of this eccentric cam member 50 is sensed by a rotation-angle sensor 53, the amount of movement of the shaft member 40 is substituted for by the angle of rotation of the rotary member 42 and thus is detected by a second rotation-angle sensor 47, and the actual angle of steer of the rear wheels is detected by an actual steer angle sensor. When either one of a first motor 52 and a second motor is in operation, sensor failure is decided on the basis of an amount of change in detected value of a sensor 53(47) for sensing such state of operation, an amount of change in detected value of the actual steer-angle sensor, and a detected value of the other sensor.</p> |
