AUTOMATIC END PLATE WELDING EQUIPMENT FOR METALLIC GRATING

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a mass-production equipment where horizontal bars are pressed in a long-sized longitudinal material group to perform resistance welding and arc welding to fit both side end plates to grating material divided into product dimensions is automated. CONSTITUTION:The grating material G with the end plates 3 tack-welded is turned and erected along one side of a feeding path and joining parts of grating vertical material 1 and the end plates 3 are turned on plural welding guns 14a lined up along the feeding path as horizontal fillet suitable for automation. When operations to move respective guns backward and forward to perform fillet welding and move these right and left to transfer these to the next welding position are carried out several times by computer control, all weldings are completed in a short time. The same equipment is also set up at the opposite side of the feed path and the other side end plate 3 is welded to the grating material G on which one side end plate welding has been completed. When a product of each type and size is registered on a computer, the change of product specifications becomes extremely easy.
