PURPOSE:To obtain an ink ribbon extremely reducing the abrasion of a wire and having long printing life by providing a layer containing a high b.p. liquid substance being vehicle, carbon black and N<epsilon>-lauryloyl-L-lisine on a ribbon base material. CONSTITUTION:A high b.p. liquid substance being vehicle, carbon black, N<epsilon>- lauryloyl-L-lisine and, if necessary, additives are uniformly mixed by predetermined amounts using a mixer. This mixture is kneaded using a kneader such as a three-roll mill or a bead mill and the kneaded matter is applied to and infiltrated in a ribbon base material to obtain an ink ribbon. As the ribbon base material, a fabric or knitted fabric formed from a synthetic fiber composed of polyamide or polyester or a natural fiber such as cotton or silk can be used. As the high b.p. liquid substance being vehicle, any one arbitrarily selected from animal oil, vegetable oil, mineral oil and ester oil is used. The obtained ink ribbon reduces the abrasion of a wire though carbon black is used. |
