PURPOSE:To ensure that an operator is safely protected against his casual touching a pen head by the hand by providing a pen head control means which suspends the operation of the pen head holding a pen, when a protection cover is open during image drawing process. CONSTITUTION:A cover 5 is axially supported by rotary shafts 51, 52 in a freely closable manner, and a limit switch 53 detects whether the cover 5 is open or closed. For example, if the cover is open, even if slightly, the switch 53 is turned OFF, while it is turned ON, if completely closed. A controller for controlling a pen head 9 monitors the state of this limit switch 53 and performs its routine image drawing action, if the switch 53 is set in an ON position, while the controller suspends an image drawing action, if the switch is set in an OFF position. That is, the controller suspends the operation of the pen head 9 as it is and discontinues the application of a writing pressure to the pen held by the pen holder 91. Thus the pen head 9 is free, so that if the operator touches it, his hand is no longer hurt. |
