PURPOSE:To prevent stopping of an elevator after power is restored so as to prevent deterioration of service by providing an up-inching starting circuit which starts an up-inching circuit when a power outage detection device detects a power outage and a cage fall detector detects the sinkage of a cage. CONSTITUTION:The controller of a hydraulic elevator includes a power outage detection device for detecting the power outage of an elevator, an emergency power unit for supplying power when a power outage is detected, a cage fall detector 10 for detecting the position of a cage 6 immediately before an emergency stopping device 7 operates as the cage 6 sinks, and an up-inching starting circuit for starting an up-inching circuit when the cage fall detector 10 detects the sinkage of the cage 6 after the power outage detection device detects a power outage. When a power outage occurs and the cage 6 starts to sink, the cage fall detector 10 detects the sinkage prior to operation of the emergency stopping device 7 due to collision of the cage 6 with a damper 8 and then the up-inching starting circuit is actuated by the emergency power unit to raise the cage 6 by a predetermined amount. |
