PURPOSE:To make the current consumption constant when a light emitting element of an optical repeater is driven or not driven. CONSTITUTION:The transmitter is provided with an O/E conversion circuit 41 converting an optical signal inputted from an input terminal into an electric signal, a 1st light emitting element L1 converting an electric signal outputted from the O/E conversion circuit 41 into an optical signal, an inverter 42 inverting an electric signal outputted from the O/E conversion circuit 41, a 2nd light emitting element L2 converting the electric signal outputted from the inverter 42 into an optical signal, a 1st output terminal o1 outputting the optical signal outputted from the 1st electrooptic conversion section and a 2nd output terminal o2 outputting the optical signal outputted from a 2nd electrooptic conversion section. Since the optical output outputted from an optical repeater is inverted, the power consumption of the optical repeater is made constant. |
